Job description

Who We Are

At Seaside Plumbing, we're not just fixing plumbing—we're restoring peace, uplifting lives, and raising the standard of what service in the trades looks like.

Behind every great service company is a team that keeps everything organized, accurate, and moving forward. Our Accounting team plays an important role in making sure the day-to-day financial details of our business are handled correctly and on time.

If you're organized, comfortable working with numbers, and interested in continuing to build your accounting skills, we'd love to meet you.

Let’s Be Clear (Read This First)

This is not for everyone.

Accounting requires consistency.

Details matter. Deadlines matter. And sometimes the work can be repetitive.

This is a role where:

  • Accuracy matters
  • Organization matters
  • Follow-through matters
  • Willingness to learn matters

You’ll work alongside an experienced Accounting team and help keep the everyday financial operations of our business running smoothly.

You don’t need to know everything on Day One.

But you do need to be willing to learn, ask questions, take feedback, and take ownership of getting your work right.

We are where the best come to become elite.

What You’ll Do

As an Accounting Administrator at Seaside Plumbing, you’ll support the day-to-day accounting and administrative functions of our business.

You will:

  • Process accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time
  • Batch and process invoices
  • Enter and maintain financial information in QuickBooks and spreadsheets
  • Process field tickets, update account notes, and help identify discrepancies
  • Maintain customer memberships and recurring service information
  • Record and reconcile cash receipts and account adjustments
  • Assist with maintaining accurate accounting records and documentation
  • Provide administrative support during payroll processing
  • Help maintain accounting spreadsheets and routine reports
  • Research discrepancies and work with the Accounting team to resolve them
  • Provide backup support for other Accounting team functions as you become trained
  • Learn and follow established accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Help identify opportunities to make everyday processes more organized and efficient

As you grow in the position, you’ll have opportunities to learn additional accounting functions and take on greater responsibility.

What Success Looks Like Here
  • Your work is accurate, organized, and completed on time
  • You develop a strong understanding of our accounting processes
  • You catch discrepancies and know when to ask questions
  • You can be trusted to consistently complete your responsibilities
  • You communicate when something doesn’t look right instead of making assumptions
  • You become more confident and independent as you learn
  • You’re willing to jump in and support the Accounting team when needed
  • You continue developing your accounting knowledge and skills
What Makes This Role Different

This isn’t just about entering numbers into a system.

It’s an opportunity to build your accounting experience inside a growing company.

You’ll work with an experienced Accounting team, learn how the financial side of a service business operates, and gain hands‑on experience across several accounting functions.

We invest in people who:

  • Want to learn
  • Take ownership
  • Ask good questions
  • Care about accuracy
  • Look for ways to improve
  • Want to grow their responsibilities over time

You don’t have to come in as an accounting expert.

We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation who wants to become better.
Compensation & Benefits

We believe great people deserve to be taken care of.

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • 100% company‑paid health insurance (employee coverage with upgrade options available)
  • 100% company‑paid dental and vision insurance (employee coverage with upgrade options available)
  • Company‑paid life insurance
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays
  • Paid gym membership
  • Opportunities for continued growth and development
Who This Is For

This role could be a great fit if you:

  • Have some experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or office administration
  • Are comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets
  • Pay attention to the small details
  • Enjoy organized, process‑driven work
  • Are comfortable asking questions when something doesn’t look right
  • Can manage routine responsibilities and deadlines
  • Learn new software and processes quickly
  • Want to continue developing your accounting skills
  • Enjoy being part of a team where people depend on one another
Who This Is NOT For

This is NOT a fit if you:

  • Regularly overlook details
  • Struggle with organization or deadlines
  • Avoid asking questions when you’re unsure
  • Become frustrated by routine or repetitive work
  • Resist feedback or new processes
  • Prefer getting something done quickly over getting it done correctly
What We’re Looking For

We’re more interested in finding someone with the right foundation and potential to grow than someone who checks every possible accounting box.

Ideally, you bring:

  • 1+ year of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or related administrative experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts and terminology
  • Experience with QuickBooks is helpful, but not required
  • Comfortable working in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to manage recurring tasks and meet deadlines
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort learning new software and processes
  • Willingness to ask questions, receive feedback, and continue learning

Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, reconciliations, or payroll is a plus—not a requirement.

Candidates should also be able to successfully complete any required pre‑employment screening.

Location

This is a full‑time, in‑person position based in Bishopville, Maryland.

Our Values

Ownership — Take initiative. Own the outcome. Leave it better than you found it.

Empathy — Lead with humanity, care and understanding.

Courage — Embrace discomfort. Do the hard things. Growth follows.

Gratitude — There is always something to be grateful for. Find it. Share it.

Authenticity — Be your weird self and respect that in others. You shine brighter that way.

Final Word

You don’t need to have ten years of accounting experience to make an impact here.

We’re looking for someone who has a good foundation, takes accuracy seriously, and wants an opportunity to keep learning.

If you’re looking for:

  • Stability
  • Hands‑on accounting experience
  • Room to develop your skills
  • Increasing responsibility as you grow
  • A team that genuinely supports one another

This could be a great next step in your accounting career.

Seaside Plumbing is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a team that reflects a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
