Position Overview:

In this role, most of your time will be spent on accounting duties. As the sole accountant for the company, you will handle a variety of tasks from A/R, A/P, general ledger, month end close, financial statement preparation, etc.

As a small business, this role will also handle a variety of general office management and administrative duties, such as payroll, answering phones, helping employees with basic human resources questions, supporting annual open enrollment, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all accounting duties including customer invoicing, collections, AP invoicing, AP check runs, journal entries, bank account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
  • Process bi-weekly hourly and salary employee payroll including 401k withholding and payment.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding and separation and planning employee events.
  • Assist with annual benefit elections and insurance option selection.
  • Perform all general office tasks including answering phones, handling mail, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Assist the operations and production team with order entry, receiving, job folder maintenance, and shipping coordination.
  • Manage and maintain employee data in HRIS.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality regarding company products, customer product development, company finances, employee records, and all other ‘company private’ information.
  • Act as liaison between outsourced IT provider and company regarding IT needs and coordination.
  • Assist with basic job costing to make sure all costs are captured in inventory system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 2+ years of accounting experience; in the manufacturing industry preferred
  • Experience working with GAAP Accounting principles
  • Experience with payroll processing
  • Knowledge of basic employment law and human resources functions
  • Fluency in basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems
  • Proficiency at maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Skilled in problem solving and working independently
  • Ability to effectively communicate and maintain relationships with vendors, customers, co-workers, and supervisors
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English to the extent necessary to perform all functions of the job
  • Prior success at following a work schedule with agreed upon start and end times

Salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 annually, based on relevant education and experience. Additional compensation in the form of monthly compensation credit in lieu of medical insurance. Advanced Coil offers paid time off, a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer contribution, Flexible Spending Account, Health Savings Account, and Life Insurance.
