Job summary

Tessera is seeking an Accountant at our Colorado Springs location to support operations with accurate financial management, contract administration, and compliance oversight. Responsibilities include processing payroll and subcontractor invoices, maintaining Maximo data, and preparing financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 3–5 years accounting experience, preferably in facilities maintenance or federal contracting.
• Proficiency in GAAP and FAR.
• Experience with subcontractor oversight and contract compliance.
• Ability to manage payroll and timekeeping.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office; Maximo experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile bank and ledger accounts.
• Process accounts payable and subcontractor invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain financial data in Maximo and other systems; ensure alignment with contract requirements.
• Assist with monthly closings and financial reporting.
• Oversee the site payroll program, including timekeeping coordination and payroll submission.
• Coordinate subcontractor onboarding and documentation to ensure contract/site compliance.
• Support audits, process improvements, and financial reporting.
