Tessera is seeking an Accountant in Colorado Springs, CO, to support operations through precise financial management, contract and subcontract administration, and compliance oversight. The role includes processing payments, managing subcontractor invoices, payroll coordination, and assisting in audits and reporting.

Responsibilities cover general ledger accuracy, monthly closings, budgeting support, and ensuring adherence to contract terms while maintaining data in Maximo and other systems.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in facilities maintenance or federal contracting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Maximo experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and deadlines.
• Understanding of GAAP and FAR.
• Ability to interpret legal and financial documents.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with subcontractor oversight and contract compliance.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile bank and ledger accounts.
• Process accounts payable and subcontractor invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain financial data in Maximo and ensure alignment with contract requirements.
• Assist with monthly closings and financial reporting.
• Oversee the site payroll program, including timekeeping coordination and payroll submission.
• Maintain base access documentation and credentialing for subcontractors.
• Coordinate subcontractor onboarding and compliance documentation.
• Serve as a liaison between subcontractors and site management on access and contracts.
• Support audits and workflow improvements.
• Generate financial reports for management review and decision-making.
