Job summary

Tessera is seeking an Accountant to support operations with accurate financial management, contract administration, and compliance oversight at the Colorado Springs site. You will handle journal entries, AP processing, payroll coordination, and subcontractor paperwork to ensure timely, compliant financial operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field with 3–5 years of experience, familiarity with Maximo, and knowledge of GAAP/FAR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in facilities maintenance or federal contracting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Maximo preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Understanding of GAAP and FAR.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile bank and ledger accounts.
• Process accounts payable and subcontractor invoices timely and accurately.
• Maintain financial data in Maximo and other systems; align with contract requirements.
• Assist with monthly closings and financial reporting.
• Oversee the site payroll program, including timekeeping coordination and payroll validation.
• Coordinate subcontractor onboarding and compliance documentation.
• Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for audits.
• Generate financial reports for management review and analysis.
• Manage contracts, billing, and invoices for Tessera services.
• Monitor expenditures and assist with budget tracking and forecasting.
