Qualifications

• Internship or relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Construction, engineering, or service industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable functions and assist with a variety of daily accounting activities.
• Enter financial data accurately into accounting software and company systems.
• Manage the accounting email inbox by responding to inquiries and directing requests to the appropriate team members.
• Process vendor invoices while maintaining accurate and well-organized financial records.
• Verify subcontractor compliance documents, including W-9s, insurance certificates, and other required paperwork prior to payment.
• Reconcile company credit card transactions and ensure all supporting receipts and documentation are complete.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for accounting records.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and internal staff to resolve accounting-related matters.
• Provide support with month-end closing procedures and other assigned accounting tasks.
