Job summary

Utah First Credit Union in Salt Lake City is seeking an accurate, detail-oriented accounting professional to support the Controller with reconciliations, payables, and financial reporting.

You will maintain high standards of accuracy, collaborate with the accounting team, and help ensure regulatory compliance. The role offers weekday hours, competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least two years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related financial experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with financial data, spreadsheets, and reporting.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Preferred: Previous accounting experience within a credit union, bank, or other financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Support the Controller in reconciling general ledger accounts, processing domestic and international wires, resolving account discrepancies, and preparing information for regulatory call reports and financial statements.
• Assist with annual audits and regulatory examinations by gathering documentation and responding to requests.
• Process accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with members of the accounting team to ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and compliant with applicable regulations.
• Help identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and support organizational efficiency.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM at our Salt Lake City office.
