Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including fixed assets and financial reporting.

• Maintain cash management, AP/AR, and petty cash processes.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
• Collaborate with finance team on audits and tax matters.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Copy of Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced accountant who is ready to take their career to the next level. You will be responsible for managing fixed assets accounting, financial reporting, ad hoc projects, audit support, and nonprofit accounting experience. With your advanced understanding of accounting principles, you will be a crucial component in our organization's financial stability and growth.

Responsibilities

1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including fixed assets accounting and financial reporting.
2. Participate in preparation for annual audits, providing necessary information and support to auditors.
3. Lead ad hoc projects as needed, such as process improvements, system implementations, etc.
4. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
5. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
6. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
7. Coordinate and complete annual audits and provide recommendations for improving procedures and systems for initiating corrective actions.
8. Perform nonprofit accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines.
9. Assist with the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
10. Collaborate with the finance team to complete financial and tax audits.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or a Bachelors 2+ years of accounting experience.
2. CPA or CMA certification is a nice to have.
3. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounting or related field (with experience in nonprofit accounting)
4. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
5. High attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Ability to direct and supervise.
7. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with relevant accounting software.
8. Prior experience with fixed assets accounting, financial reporting, ad hoc projects, audit support, and nonprofit accounting.
