Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. This role is perfect for you if you are a motivated team player with a keen eye for detail. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the accuracy and timely execution of various accounting functions, including auditing, individual and business tax returns, and client bookkeeping. This role is a permanent position that will allow you to utilize your expertise to improve our financial processes and ensure our accounting operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations.
• Prepare and review tax returns, including 1040 individual returns and business returns.
• Conduct audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements.
• Manage client bookkeeping, including maintaining records of invoices and receipts.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements.
• Collaborate with the financial team to improve financial procedures.
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Provide expert advice to our team on tax-related matters and financial planning.
• Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on auditing, tax returns, and client bookkeeping.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
• Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
• Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Superior attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
