Job summary

First Hawaiian Bank is seeking a customer-focused Account Service Representative for the Consumer Loan Collections Department in Honolulu, HI. You will contact delinquent customers by phone or mail to cure loans and protect the bank’s exposure.

The role requires strong communication, time management, and the ability to work with Relationship Officers to service delinquent accounts. The position is full-time with a typical weekday schedule in Hawaii.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in a business-related field preferred.
• MS Windows proficient (MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook).
• Articulate, self-motivated and able to interact with a diverse group of individuals.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving and negotiating skills are required to make critical decisions with minimal supervision.
• Must possess excellent telephone etiquette skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Able to plan and organize.
• Able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
• Able to handle confidential matters judiciously.
• Able to work beyond scheduled shift as needed.

Responsibilities

Compensation
The pay range for the role is $16.15 - $22.50/hr; commensurate with experience
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Responsibilities
In this role, you will assist with curing delinquent First Hawaiian Bank loans by contacting customers via phone or written correspondence. The Account Service Representative recognizes accounts and/or relationships that pose a credit risk and makes recommendations or takes prudent actions to reduce the Bank’s exposure. This role is also responsible for providing excellent service to delinquent customers and to work in concert with the Relationship Officers to best service our delinquent loans.
