Job summary

State Street in Boston seeks an experienced Assistant Vice President, Account Operations Specialist to oversee client account onboarding, lifecycle servicing, and maintenance within a high-compliance framework. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in broker-dealer, custody, or wealth operations with a focus on account lifecycle management.
• Active Series 24 license required.
• Experience in an introducing broker-dealer or advisory-led (RIA) model preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve new accounts, ensuring documentation, regulatory, and internal controls are met prior to establishment.
• Perform supervisory review as a Series 24 principal, including exception approvals and escalation support.
• Execute and oversee account maintenance activities (ownership changes, beneficiary updates, registrations, attributes).
• Support complex account structures (trusts, estates, entities, partnerships, multi-party accounts).
• Assist with lifecycle events (death processing, estate distributions, ownership transitions).
• Ensure accurate capture of beneficial ownership, control persons, authorized parties, and tax docs (W-9/W-8).
• Collaborate with Client Service and advisors to address inquiries and clarify documentation requirements.
• Support inbound advisor requests with timely, accurate servicing for standard and non-standard scenarios.
• Identify, assess, and escalate risk or documentation gaps per supervisory expectations.
• Assist in processing ACATS and non-ACATS transfers with proper documentation and control.
• Coordinate across Cashiering, Transfers, and account operations; evolve into domain leadership as platform scales.
• Contribute to workflows, procedures, and controls across onboarding and maintenance processes.
• Leverage Salesforce and AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency and turnaround times.
• Maintain strong documentation and audit readiness.
