Job summary
State Street in Boston is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President, Account Operations Specialist to lead onboarding and lifecycle servicing for broker-dealer clients. You will review, approve, and maintain complex accounts, supervise approvals as a Series 24 principal, and partner with Client Service to ensure accurate, compliant processing.
The role emphasizes automation and AI-enabled workflows to scale operations.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in broker-dealer, custody, or wealth operations.
- Active Series 24 license required.
- Experience with account onboarding and lifecycle management.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve new accounts with regulatory and internal controls.
- Perform supervisory review as a Series 24 principal.
- Execute account maintenance including ownership changes and registrations.
- Support complex account structures (trusts, estates, entities).
- Assist with lifecycle events (death processing, distributions).
- Manage tax documentation (W-9/W-8).
- Coordinate with Client Service and advisors to resolve inquiries.
- Support ACATS and non-ACATS transfers.
- Leverage Salesforce and AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency.
- Maintain documentation and audit readiness.
