Job summary

Cope Plastics, Inc. in Huntsville, AL seeks an Account Manager who blends sales drive with a detailed, customer-focused approach. You will identify revenue opportunities, advise on products and fabrication services, and manage pricing to protect margins.

This full-time role offers a base salary plus commissions, a comprehensive benefits package, and travel to customer sites as needed to build long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED with 2 years college or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years industrial sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent customer interaction and communication required; industrial sales experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prospects new business opportunities and identifies revenue growth.
• Provides material and application assistance, assesses customer needs, recommends products.
• Calculates pricing for quotes, materials and labor to optimize margins.
• Shares customer and order information with the sales team.
• Manages order entry and flow to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborates on pricing, market conditions and key accounts with managers.
• Travels to customer sites, trade shows and meetings as required.

Essential Functions:

• Prospects new business opportunities and identifies revenue opportunities.
• Provides material and application assistance, determines customer needs and recommends products and/or fabrication services.
• Calculates pricing for quotes, material yields and labor to optimize profit margin.
• Confers and shares information about customers and order status with sales team.
• Manages the order entry and flow process to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Works with Branch Manager, Outside Sales and Market Managers on competitive, strategic pricing situations and market conditions, key and target account projects and new products.
• Travels as required to customer sites, trade shows, sales training, company-wide sales meetings.

Qualifications

Position Qualifications and Requirements:

• Requires a HS diploma or GED, plus a minimum of two years college education OR equivalent capabilities.
• A minimum of three years industrial sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent customer interaction and communication is an absolute must. Industrial sales experience is a plus.
