Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, retain clients, and support new business. You will coordinate daily account activities, resolve complex issues, and ensure accurate policy administration and renewals.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in account management (or 5+ years in insurance), an active P&C license, and CIC designation preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing required; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Maintain policy management: expirations, renewals, and coverages.
• Assist with submissions, negotiations, and client proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accurate data.
