Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) seeks an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, retain clients, and support new business development. This role coordinates day‑to‑day administrative tasks and delivers superior customer service.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of account management experience in insurance, active P&C licensing, strong analytical and communication skills, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively respond to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
