Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business. The role involves coordinating day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, an active P&C license, and strong communication skills. Remote work is available for Eastern/Central Time Zone residents, with hybrid onsite work possible to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status and any issues.
• Deliver excellent service and respond quickly to service requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
