Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage a designated book of business, ensuring retention, handling renewals, and supporting new business development.

You will lead day-to-day client service, coordinate policy administration, billing, and claims support, and work closely with the account team to deliver proactive service and accurate data. A valid P&C license is required and real-time collaboration is expected in a remote-capable role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in insurance
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active licensing required; CIC designation preferred
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service and communication abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office
• High School Diploma

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business to ensure retention and support growth
• Coordinate day-to-day admin and customer service tasks
• Resolve complex issues and ensure accurate data in systems
• Handle policy administration, billing, and claims support
• Monitor expirations and renewals; conduct client research
• Negotiate coverages and present proposals to clients
• Oversee receivables and follow up on delinquent accounts
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms
• Communicate workload status and issues with the team
• Deliver proactive service and exceptional responsiveness
• Stay updated on company policies and best practices
• Support continuous improvement and leadership within the team
• Champion IOA values with integrity and leadership
