Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to lead an assigned book of business, ensure retention, and support new opportunities. The role combines hands-on client service with team leadership in a flexible hybrid/remote setup.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P&C licensing (CIC preferred), and strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise
• Direct daily activities of the account management team
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims
• Manage policy expirations and renewals
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms
• Monitor and ensure timely completion of activity
• Communicate workload status with the account team
• Deliver excellent service and anticipate client needs
• Stay updated on company policies
• Seek best practices to improve performance
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership
