Account Manager - Commercial & Industrial Construction

Position Overview

This role reports to the District Sales Manager and involves sales of Electrification products within the Kansas City trade area, aligned with division strategy. The role requires achieving sales targets, developing new opportunities, and contributing to market share growth. This is a remote position, preferred to be based in the Kansas City metro area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and track sales opportunities, influence customer specifications, and increase market share in various segments.
  • Educate customers on products through technical presentations, introduce new products, and identify target clients.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers by providing feedback and identifying product gaps.
  • Generate cross-selling leads and facilitate business with ABB Industrial Solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, with at least 5 years of sales experience in large commercial construction and industrial projects, preferably electrical products.
  • Experience working with electrical contractors and channel partners.
  • Knowledge of the electrical industry and ABB products preferred.
  • Proficiency with sales tools; Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Ability to utilize analytical tools; Six Sigma training is a plus.
  • Understanding of product portfolios including power distribution and installation products is preferred.
