Job Title: Account Manager – Staffing & IT Professional Services

Location: Remote (Preferred proximity to major metropolitan areas for client visits as needed)

Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Account Manager to join our growing Staffing and IT Professional Services team. This individual will serve as the critical bridge between the business development/sales team and service delivery, ensuring that every signed Master Services Agreement (MSA) and Statement of Work (SOW) transitions seamlessly into operational execution and revenue generation.

The ideal candidate brings prior experience in IT staffing and professional services, understands the nuances of client relationships, and thrives on taking projects from contract to delivery. This role requires a sharp focus on client satisfaction, operational readiness, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing client accounts once MSAs and SOWs are signed.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders to ensure ongoing satisfaction, account growth, and repeat business.
  • Conduct regular status meetings, QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews), and performance check-ins with clients.

Onboarding & Implementation

  • Translate contractual agreements (MSAs/SOWs) into clear, actionable project plans with defined timelines, deliverables, and resource needs.
  • Collaborate closely with recruiting, delivery, and operations teams to ensure smooth ramp-up and alignment to client expectations.
  • Set up billing processes, time-tracking, compliance, and operational workflows for new engagements.

Revenue Enablement & Forecasting

  • Own the process of turning signed contracts into revenue, monitoring delivery status, consultant starts, and overall account health.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key metrics such as revenue realization, gross margin, utilization, and consultant performance.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may delay or inhibit revenue flow, including compliance, onboarding delays, or delivery gaps.

Account Expansion

  • Work in conjunction with sales to identify new project opportunities within existing accounts and upsell additional services.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client goals and roadmap to identify areas where additional staffing or IT services can provide value.

Operational Oversight

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with client-specific onboarding requirements, background checks, timekeeping systems, and reporting obligations.
  • Serve as an escalation point for consultant issues, delivery risks, or contract deviations.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure accuracy of billing and invoicing related to managed accounts.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3–5+ years of experience in account management within IT Staffing and/or Professional Services.
  • Proven experience managing client relationships, implementing service delivery models, and tracking revenue generation.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., Crelate, Bullhorn), VMS portals, and CRM platforms.
  • Ability to interpret and operationalize contractual terms from MSAs and SOWs.
  • Strong financial acumen, especially regarding bill rates, margins, and consultant utilization.
  • Execution-Oriented: Drives deliverables to completion with attention to detail.
  • Client-Centric: Highly responsive and committed to client success.
  • Collaborative: Works well with internal and external teams, navigating complex dependencies.
  • Financially Savvy: Understands the financial levers of a services business.
  • Proactive Communicator: Anticipates client needs and internal bottlenecks.
