Job summary

LGG Industrial in Tennessee is seeking a results-driven sales professional to grow and strengthen customer relationships across product lines. You will identify client needs, promote solutions, and manage a strategic territory to exceed gross profit and sales targets.

Collaborate with internal teams to provide value-added customer solutions, maintain accurate CRM data, and conduct business reviews. Willingness to travel within the territory and occasional after-hours support are required.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of sales, service and/or industrial distribution experience or a college degree in Industrial Distribution or related program.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Travel within assigned territory, including overnight travel.
  • Proficient in math with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Willing to work nights and weekends, and overtime as required.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

  • Partner with internal teams to maintain accurate data and efficiencies.
  • Communicate with customers regarding business reviews, order status, pricing, and on-time delivery.
  • Provide occasional customer support after traditional business hours.
  • Optimize CRM utilization for pipeline management and call-note activity.
  • Travel within the assigned territory and visit customer sites.
  • Perform other duties as trained and qualified.

Job description

  • Travel within the assigned territory and visit customer sites
  • Perform other duties as trained and qualified
Requirements
  • Must have either 2+ years of sales, service, and/or industrial distribution experience or a college degree in Industrial Distribution or related degree program
  • Must have valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Background checks and drug screening may be required by Company, Customer or DOT requirements
  • Proficiency in math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in units of measure; ability to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory, including automobile and/or airplane plus overnight travel
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, as required
  • Ability to work overtime, as required
  • Reliable transportation is a must
  • 3-7 years of proven outside industrial sales experience preferred
  • University degree in engineering, business or related area of study preferred; equivalent work experience considered
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Above average mechanical aptitude
  • Presentation skills and ability to tailor messages to audience needs
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to successfully operate tools and machinery
  • Product knowledge in hose, gasket and conveyor systems is a plus
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and safety procedures
  • Ability to comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, inventory sheets, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
