We're looking for a driven Account Manager / Business Development Representative to grow our client base and manage relationships within the IT staffing space. This role blends new business development with account management — you'll prospect and close new client accounts, then nurture those relationships to drive repeat business and expand our footprint within each organization.
Business Development: identify and prospect potential client companies with IT staffing needs through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, networking events, and referrals. Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads, conduct discovery calls to understand client hiring needs, tech stack requirements, and culture fit, and prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations to close new business.
Account Management: serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, conduct regular check-ins with clients to understand evolving staffing needs, partner with internal recruiters to ensure job orders are filled accurately and on time, manage the full sales cycle from job order intake through placement and beyond, address client concerns or escalations professionally and proactively, and identify opportunities to upsell additional services (contract, contract-to-hire, direct placement, RPO).
Market Knowledge: stay current on IT industry trends, in‑demand skill sets, and competitor activity, and track and report on sales metrics, pipeline activity, and account performance using CRM/ATS tools (e.g., Bullhorn, Salesforce).
A candidate should have 2+ years of experience in staffing, recruiting, or B2B sales, ideally within IT or technical staffing, along with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong understanding of IT roles and terminology (developers, network engineers, systems administrators, etc.) is preferred but not always required. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are essential, as is comfort with a fast‑paced, metrics‑driven environment and cold outreach. Experience with an ATS/CRM platform (Bullhorn, JobDiva, Salesforce, etc.) is a plus. A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required with relevant experience.
Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission structure, health benefits, PTO.
