This position reports to

Region Sales Manager - Western USA

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for expanding our installed base and gaining new market share for process control customers in Process Automation ENERGY within the IA, MN, NE, SD, ND, WY, MT territory. Reporting to the Western Regional Sales Manager, you will coordinate sales activities, creating value for customers and ABB by selling process control, power management, excitation power/controls, digital analytics, and cybersecurity engineered solutions. Our ENERGY segment includes Utility, Oil, Gas, Chemical, Alternative Fuels, Pharma, and Water/Wastewater sectors.

The work model for this role is: #LI - Remote

This role contributes to the Process Automation Energy Industries Division.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and growth strategies.
  2. Gaining new logos and converting competitive installed base customers to ABB process automation solutions.
  3. Providing solutions aligned with volume, mix, and profitability targets.
  4. Selling "Customer Care Contracts" to enhance aftermarket experience.
  5. Driving Action and Pursuit Plans to increase market share.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 3+ years of experience in customer-facing roles related to control, power, or digital technology.
  • Proficiency in CRM and MS Office suite.
  • Expertise in networks and Digital Solutions is a plus.
  • Experience in Strategic Selling and understanding of value-based solutions selling.
  • Knowledge of DCS, PLC/SCADA, Power Management (Medium and Low Voltage).
  • Experience with Software services, Cyber Security solutions, Field Service Contracts.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US required.
