Account Manager, Higher Education Academia (Central Region)

We are seeking an Account Manager, Higher Education Academia (Central Region) to join our Academia and Government sales team. The role involves leading and coordinating sales activities, working with product specialists, client relationship managers, and field marketing teams to meet and exceed sales targets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior sales experience in the higher education market.

About You – Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in direct field sales

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Advanced degree in Library Science or related field
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and technical troubleshooting tools
  • Relevant sales certifications
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned territory and develop account plans to grow long-term revenue, collaborating with specialists and support teams.
  • Influence and motivate cross-functional teams to support shared sales goals.
  • Focus on acquiring new clients and renewing existing accounts, serving as the primary client contact.
  • Lead RFP processes and coordinate with product specialists for proposals.
  • Forecast and manage the full portfolio, including renewals and new business opportunities.
  • Maintain product knowledge, lead product demonstrations, and ensure account health through regular reviews and client engagement.
  • Resolve client issues with support from specialists and customer service teams.
  • Document activities in Salesforce to ensure effective collaboration.
Team and Work Environment

You will collaborate with a global team supporting account retention and growth, including Sales, Customer Success, Education, and Professional Services.

Work Details
