The Prime Recruitment is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to lead a seven-state Mid-Atlantic territory, focusing on IDNs, hospitals and ASCs. You will own the full sales cycle from opportunity through contract and implementation, with 75% overnight travel across Raleigh to Nashville and Baltimore.
This role reports to a senior team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where your leadership and relationships will be visible and rewarded.
Strategic Account Manager — Mid-Atlantic
Location: Raleigh or Charlotte, NC preferred (open to strong candidates elsewhere in territory)
Territory: North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, Delaware
Travel: 75% overnight travel
Bonus: $39,000 at 100% to plan, uncapped upside — $150K+ realistic, top earners taking home ~$170,000
Our client is a global critical care pharmaceutical company and the fourth-largest producer of inhaled anesthetics in the world, with a presence in more than 100 countries. In the US, they operate like a small company: lean, fast, and close-knit. You will not be a number here. You will know your leadership, your leadership will know you, and the work you do will be visible.
This is a career-building seat for someone hungry. You are taking ownership of a seven-state Mid-Atlantic territory and running it like your own business — IDNs, community and local hospitals, and ambulatory surgery centers. You will own the full sales cycle from identifying the opportunity through contract negotiation and implementation, and you will be the one in the room with the decision-makers.
If you love the road, this role is built for you. Seventy-five percent overnight travel means you are out in the market, in accounts, face to face — banking hotel points and airline miles while you build real relationships from Raleigh to Nashville to Baltimore. The Mid-Atlantic is a genuinely great region to work, and you will get to know it well.
The upside is real. $39,000 at plan is the starting point, not the ceiling. Overachievement pays, and top performers on this team are taking home around $170,000.
The support is real. You will have a strong internal team behind you and a leader with more than three decades in this industry — someone who knows this market cold and is genuinely invested in developing the people on their team. If you want a manager who will make you better, this is that seat.
The growth is real. This is a company small enough that the person who performs here gets noticed. If you are looking to build a career rather than fill a job, there is room to grow.
