Account Manager

Danfoss Industrial Division is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and self-driven Account Manager to increase wallet share at existing accounts. This role will identify new opportunities and drive specifications for pull-through sales, owning the sales growth and relationship management of assigned accounts. The Account Manager will maintain strong professional relationships with key decision-makers.

The Account Manager will report directly to the Director, Industry Sales for Industrial Americas. This role is remote and can be based in any of the following US cities: Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Cincinnati, OH; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Indianapolis, IN; Little Rock, AR; Louisville, KY; Nashville, TN; New Orleans, LA; Oklahoma City, OK; St. Louis, MO. Support for work authorization cannot be provided.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales, price, and margin targets, focusing on new wins, opportunity management, and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Identify customer applications, products, and programs that present sales opportunities across Danfoss Business Units, and develop tailored proposals.
  • Lead initiatives within the Industrial Business Unit at assigned accounts, collaborating with Distribution, OEM, and Virtual sales teams.
  • Conduct periodic business reviews, communicate forecasts, and manage them against goals and metrics.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support and communicate effectively with customers.
  • Represent Voice of Customer internally, communicating topics like price proposals, product changes, and performance metrics.
  • Develop relationships with key decision-makers and departments to support product specifications and purchases.
  • Conduct presentations on Danfoss products and programs.
  • Prepare and submit reports and documents related to sales activities timely and accurately.
Background & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 3 years of customer-facing account management and sales experience with industrial or mechanical products.
  • At least 3 years of hydraulics and industrial market experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and productivity skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%, mainly within US and Canada.
  • Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the US without support.

Preferred: IFPS certifications.
