The Account Executive owns the full sales cycle for a B2B SaaS platform, from account discovery and technical qualification through negotiation, close, and expansion planning. The role sells to technology, operations, and business leaders who need reliable cloud infrastructure, workflow automation, data integration, or security solutions. Based in Denver with a remote work model, the role partners with solutions engineers, marketing, and customer success to translate complex product capabilities into measurable business outcomes. Success means building qualified pipeline, running disciplined enterprise sales processes, and consistently converting opportunities into long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline through targeted outbound prospecting, inbound follow-up, partner referrals, and account-based selling
- Run discovery calls, technical evaluations, product demonstrations, and executive presentations with IT, engineering, security, and operations stakeholders
- Develop account plans, mutual action plans, and business cases that connect SaaS capabilities to customer priorities, risk reduction, and measurable ROI
- Manage opportunities in Salesforce or a comparable CRM, maintaining accurate stage, forecast, activity, close-date, and next-step data
- Coordinate proof-of-concept evaluations with solutions engineering, including success criteria, timelines, stakeholder alignment, and implementation requirements
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and security or procurement requirements with finance, legal, IT, and executive buyers
- Partner with customer success to deliver clean handoffs, identify expansion opportunities, and support net retention across strategic accounts
What We Are Looking For
- 3-8 years of quota-carrying B2B software or SaaS sales experience, including ownership of full-cycle opportunities
- Demonstrated success selling technical products to mid-market or enterprise customers with documented attainment against pipeline and revenue targets
- Strong discovery, consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills across both business and technical audiences
- Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM, sales-engagement platforms, forecasting tools, and structured methodologies such as MEDDICC, SPICED, or Challenger
- Ability to understand and communicate concepts involving cloud platforms, APIs, integrations, data workflows, cybersecurity, or developer and IT tooling
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Bonus: Experience selling infrastructure, developer tools, data platforms, cybersecurity, or workflow automation; familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, or technical procurement processes
