Job description

ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP

is seeking Account Executives to join our Public Sector Central team in one or more of the following states: Indiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, or Alabama. The role involves frequent travel of 30% to 50%, including overnight stays.

The Account Executive will generate new business through a consultative sales approach, developing leads and relationships with utility and public sector clients to secure new revenue with appropriate gross margins. The role requires understanding customer needs, collaborating with the operations team to develop feasible solutions, and communicating with various stakeholders including leadership, engineers, and project managers. The position also involves developing financial solutions and engaging with market segment leadership to identify strategic opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospect for new business through trade shows, research, organization involvement, and cold calls.
  • Develop knowledge of the renewable energy industry, including trends, opportunities, and issues.
  • Build effective business relationships and communicate solutions to meet customer goals and achieve sales targets.
  • Maintain open communication with customers to understand needs and ensure solutions align with their goals.
  • Meet activity and results standards, including calls, letters of intent, sales, and gross margin goals.
  • Prepare and deliver professional proposals addressing customer needs, including financial aspects.
  • Maintain customer contact during installation to address additional needs and concerns.
  • Monitor account plan progress, market conditions, customer needs, and competitive activity.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience selling large solutions in the industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6-8 years of related energy services experience and/or training, with a bachelor's degree.
  • Familiarity with engineering/building trades and mechanical aptitude is a plus.
