ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP

is looking for Account Executives to join our Public Sector Central team in Indiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, or Alabama. The position requires frequent travel, up to 30% to 50%, including overnight stays.

The Account Executive is responsible for generating new business by utilizing a consultative sales approach to develop leads and relationships with utility and public sector clients, leading to new revenue with appropriate gross margins. The role involves understanding customer needs, working closely with the operations team to develop feasible solutions, and communicating directly with various stakeholders including leadership, engineers, project managers, and contract specialists. Additionally, the Account Executive will develop financial solutions for customers and engage with market segment leadership to identify strategic opportunities.

Essential functions include:
  • Prospecting for new business through trade shows, research, organization involvement, cold calls, and more
  • Developing knowledge of the renewable energy industry, including trends and issues
  • Building effective business relationships and communicating solutions to meet customer goals
  • Maintaining open communication with customers to understand needs and concerns
  • Achieving activity and results standards, including calls, letters of intent, sales, and gross margin goals
  • Preparing and presenting professional proposals, including financial aspects
  • Maintaining customer contact during installation to address additional needs
  • Monitoring account plan progress considering market conditions and competition
Required background:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Five or more (5+) years' experience selling large solutions in the industry or equivalent education and experience
Preferred qualifications:
  • Six (6) to eight (8) years of related energy services experience or training
  • Familiarity with engineering/building trades and mechanical aptitude
