Position: Account Executive

The ideal Account Executive will proactively network, cold call, and sell to multiple contacts within an organization, including C-level executives. This role involves managing and developing customer relationships and providing a consultative sales approach to deliver high-level account management services. The candidate should understand client goals, share their concerns, and be knowledgeable about available technologies and products to meet their needs. This position is remote/virtual with regional travel required.

Responsibilities:
  1. Meet sales and profitability goals consistently.
  2. Position, configure, and quote product and service solutions to clients.
  3. Participate in industry organizations such as ISSA, ISACA, OWASP, etc.
  4. Manage leads and opportunities using Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  5. Accurately report sales forecasts and opportunity pipelines.
  6. Create, edit, and close service proposals.
  7. Work with vendors to understand and position their technologies and value propositions.
  8. Participate in field marketing activities to generate interest and inform prospective clients.
  9. Represent GuidePoint Security to clients and articulate our areas of expertise.
  10. Set proper expectations and maintain open communication throughout the sales process.
  11. Leverage supporting resources effectively, fostering teamwork and cooperation.
  12. Develop and deliver professional sales presentations to large groups and executives.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience in IT, preferably in Information Security.
  2. Experience in enterprise security space preferred.
  3. Strong relationships with key accounts in the territory required.
  4. Experience with Salesforce.com necessary.
  5. Excellent group presentation skills required.
  6. History of exceeding sales goals and generating leads.
  7. Proven ability to generate leads and open new accounts.
  8. Experience selling professional services, security audits, and assessments is a plus.
  9. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  10. Security vendor-related certifications are strongly preferred.
