Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Communications Specialist to lead the development of core materials, manage media monitoring, and support healthcare campaigns. This role requires strong writing and collaboration with client teams to ensure timely, accurate messaging.

You will drive quality content, leverage AI tools where appropriate, and coordinate with account teams to meet deadlines and budgets while ensuring regulatory compliance in healthcare communications.

Qualifications

Job description

• Lead the development of core materials, including press releases, key message documents, social media content and communications plans


• Ensure quality control of all communications/content


• Show a high level of responsiveness and communicate with clients, supervisors and account teams in a clear and timely manner


• Support integrated media efforts, including thorough media monitoring, proactively flagging relevant trends and articles, developing media lists, pulling analysis reports and following digital and social trends


• Support daily interaction with clients and prospects


• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve client objectives


• Help develop strategic recommendations


• Anticipate challenges and ensure deadlines and budgets are met


• Support campaigns for healthcare clients, including disease awareness, data milestones, social and influencer programs, and healthcare communications

Requirements

• A minimum of 1+ years of experience in Communications or Public Relations; previous experience within healthcare or pharma preferred


• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field


• Strong writing, verbal, and presentation skills


• Working knowledge of the MLR process, including proficiency in using platforms such as Veeva


• Base understanding of data/regulatory processes (e.g., clinical trial phases, FDA approvals)


• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight and sometimes conflicting deadlines


• Curiosity and comfort with integrating AI tools into communications and workflows


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)


• Ability to work as a member of a team and take ownership of tasks
