Job summary

Updike Distribution Logistics, LLC is seeking a proactive Customer Service Coordinator in Phoenix, AZ to serve as the main liaison for assigned customers, manage shipping documentation, upload records, and keep data accurate across systems.

You will collaborate with drivers, warehouse personnel, and management to resolve issues, monitor performance, and pursue opportunities to improve customer experience and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service, logistics, transportation, warehouse, or account management experience.
• Strong computer skills including Excel, Outlook, Word.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers and build long-term relationships.
• Coordinate and process shipping documentation, load receipts, billing information, and related transportation records.
• Maintain accurate customer, shipment, and inventory data across systems.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and company procedures.
• Communicate with customers, drivers, warehouse staff, and management to resolve issues and provide updates.
• Monitor account performance and identify opportunities to improve customer experience and efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist with reporting, data entry, and other administrative tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with operations to meet service commitments and exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, warehouse personnel, and management to resolve issues and provide updates.
• Monitor account performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist with reporting, data entry, filing, and other administrative functions as needed.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure service commitments are met and customer expectations are exceeded.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of customer service, logistics, transportation, warehouse, or account management experience.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• Experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, or third-party logistics (3PL).
• Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory control processes.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
