Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, or
  • 5+ years of related experience with an associate degree, or
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Transportation or logistics experience is preferred.
  • Experience in sales, customer service, account management, or negotiation is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of customer supply chain needs.
  • Monitor KPI metrics to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Lead customer business reviews covering performance, challenges, opportunities, and long-term goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
  • Develop transportation and logistics solutions that provide value to customers.
  • Partner with internal operations and carrier teams to optimize load bookings, carrier selection, service levels, and costs.
  • Maintain customer profiles and participate in RFQs, customer reviews, and meetings.
  • Develop and maintain long-term account plans.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in developing solutions for new opportunities.
  • Negotiate pricing and service agreements while monitoring market trends, capacity, and seasonality.
  • Ensure customer requirements are met, including on-time pickups, deliveries, and equipment needs.
  • Address and resolve operational issues while escalating when necessary.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure operational activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain accurate system updates, reporting, and documentation.
  • Represent the organization professionally with customers, carriers, and industry partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview
