Job description

This is a quota-carrying seat for someone who wants to build a sales motion rather than inherit one. You will drive the full cycle, from first outreach through close, as the commercial face of a platform built to support the work carriers do every day: creating, pricing, and bringing products to market. The people you sell to are actuaries, product managers, and insurance leaders.

You will build and manage your own pipeline, run demonstrations and tailored business cases, and work multi-stakeholder buying groups through long procurement cycles, RFPs (requests for proposal), and security reviews. You will not do it alone. The Chief Actuary, Product and Engineering leaders, and Customer Success are behind you, with Customer Success taking a clean handoff once the ink is dry. You will represent Insuraviews at industry conferences through the year, building the relationships that turn into future pipelines, and what you learn in the field comes back to leadership as a signal on market trends and product direction.

What we are looking for: someone who knows how insurance products actually get created, priced, and brought to market, and who can hold their own in a room with actuaries without pretending to be one. You are comfortable with long procurement cycles and multi-stakeholder buying committees, disciplined about your CRM (customer relationship management) without being told, and energized rather than stalled by a lean team and an early-stage market. If you have been waiting for a seat where the ceiling is your own effort, this is it.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with insurance carriers, MGAs (managing general agents), and consulting firms.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools and data-driven insights.
  • Own individual revenue targets in partnership with senior leadership, driving growth through new client acquisition.
  • Lead or support RFP responses, security reviews, and procurement processes for prospective carrier clients.
  • Identify and develop upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing book of business, in coordination with Customer Success.
  • Conduct product demonstrations that show how the platform fits the buyer's actual workflow, not a generic feature tour.
  • Maintain a deep working understanding of the Insuraviews platform, the competitive landscape, and customer pain points.
  • Tailor demonstrations, proposals, and business cases to the specific workflows of actuarial, product, and underwriting stakeholders.
  • Partner with the Chief Actuary and Director of Product as technical resources in complex or highly technical sales conversations.
  • Work with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and sharpen lead generation.
  • Partner with product and operations teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and sustained client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate a clean handoff to Customer Success following contract execution, carrying relationships and context with it.
  • Bring market trends and product enhancement feedback from the field back to the leadership team.
  • Represent Insuraviews at industry conferences, virtual events, and partner meetings.
  • Travel to conferences approximately 5–10 times per year, 2–4 days per trip.
  • Build and maintain relationships with actuarial, product management, and competitive intelligence leaders at target and existing carrier accounts.
Qualifications
  • 5–8 years of business-to-business (B2B) sales experience with full-cycle ownership from prospecting through close, and a record of meeting or exceeding quota
  • Direct insurance industry experience — at a carrier, MGA, broker, reinsurer, or insurtech — with working knowledge of how insurance products are created, priced, and brought to market. An actuarial credential is not required
  • Demonstrated success selling into insurance carriers, MGAs, or consulting firms, including multi-stakeholder buying committees and long procurement cycles
  • Proven ability to translate complex, technical product capability into clear business value for both non-technical executives and highly technical practitioners
  • Proficiency with CRM tools for pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking, with the discipline to keep records current
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the presence to command a room during client meetings and product demonstrations
  • Comfort using AI tools to improve the quality or efficiency of day-to-day work, with curiosity about emerging capabilities in the domain
  • Willingness to travel to industry conferences approximately 5–10 times per year, 2–4 days per trip
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
