Job description

Why Join Insuraviews?
  • Build something that matters. Our mission is to revolutionize the insurance industry and every person on this team has a direct hand in that mission. You will see your work shape decisions that affect real carriers and their customers.
  • A culture built on real values. We lead with Integrity, Responsibility, and Trust. That means we follow through on what we say we'll do, own our mistakes, and treat everyone's time and ideas with respect.
  • Innovation is an expectation, not a perk. Creativity and AI is woven into how we work and what we build. You’re expected to experiment, bring better approaches back to the team, and out-think a fast-moving market.
  • Mentorship and real ownership from day one with a path toward growth, not just a title. We are startup focused on growing together, supporting one another, and helping everyone expand their skills.
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including paid holidays, paid time off, and company benefit plans (e.g. medical, dental)
  • Flexible and hybrid work options designed around outcomes, not hours.
About the Role

This is a quota-carrying seat for someone who wants to build a sales motion rather than inherit one. As an Account Executive, you will drive the full cycle, from first outreach through close. You will be the commercial face of a platform built to support carriers daily work to actually create, price, and bring products to market. The people you sell to are actuaries, product managers, and insurance leaders.

You will build and manage your own pipeline, run demos and tailored business cases, and work multi-stakeholder buying groups through long procurement cycles, RFPs, and security reviews. You won't do it alone and will have the support of our Chief Actuary, our Product & Engineering leaders, and Customer Success who takes a clean handoff once the ink is dry. You'll also represent Insuraviews at industry conferences throughout the year, building the relationships that turn into future pipeline. What you learn when working with customers, will come back to the leadership team as feedback on market trends and product direction.

You'll thrive here if you know how insurance products actually get created, priced, and brought to market, and you can hold your own in a room with actuaries without pretending to be one. You're comfortable with long procurement cycles and multi-stakeholder buying committees, disciplined about your CRM without being told, and energized working with a lean team. If you've been waiting for a seat where the ceiling is your own effort, this is it!

Location
  • Remote in WI, IL, MN or FL
  • In-Office / Hybrid in Eau Claire, WI (Optional)
Compensation
  • Base Salary (see below) plus Commission - approximately 40/60 base to variable. Commission is uncapped.
  • Equity grant upon hire, subject to board approval. Equity amount based on experience
Responsibilities

1. New Business Development

  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with insurance carriers, MGAs, and consulting firms.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools and data-driven insights.
  • Own individual revenue targets in partnership with senior leadership, driving growth through new client acquisition.
  • Lead or support RFP responses, security reviews, and procurement processes for prospective carrier clients.
  • Identify and develop upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing book of business, in coordination with Customer Success.

2. Solution Selling & Product Demonstration

  • Conduct product demos and present Insuraviews’ solutions to prospective clients.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Insuraviews’ platform, the competitive landscape, and customer pain points.
  • Tailor demonstrations, proposals, and business cases to the specific workflows of actuarial, product, and underwriting stakeholders.
  • Partner with the Chief Actuary and Director of Product as technical resources in complex or highly technical sales conversations.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and optimize lead generation.
  • Partner with product and operations teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate a clean handoff to Customer Success following contract execution, ensuring continuity of relationship and context.
  • Provide feedback to the leadership team on market trends and product enhancements.

4. Industry Presence & Market Engagement

  • Represent Insuraviews at industry conferences, virtual events, and partner meetings.
  • Travel to conferences (2–4 days) approximately 5–10 times per year.
  • Build and maintain relationships with actuarial, product management, and competitive intelligence leaders at target and existing carrier clients.
Required Qualifications
  • 5–8 years of B2B sales experience, including full-cycle ownership from prospecting through close, with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Direct insurance industry experience — at a carrier, MGA, broker, reinsurer, or insurtech — with working knowledge of how insurance products are created, priced, and brought to market. An actuarial credential is not required.
  • Demonstrated success selling into insurance carriers, MGAs, or consulting firms, including the ability to navigate multi-stakeholder buying committees and long procurement cycles.
  • Proven ability to translate complex, technical product capabilities into clear business value for both non-technical executives and highly technical practitioners.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools for pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking, with the discipline to keep records current.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently command a room during client meetings and product demonstrations.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to improve the quality or efficiency of day-to-day work, with curiosity about emerging capabilities in their domain.
  • Willingness to travel to industry conferences approximately 5–10 times per year, 2–4 days per trip.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Nice to Have
  • Experience selling SaaS, data, or analytics platforms into the insurance industry.
  • Experience with Pipedrive, HubSpot, or Salesforce, and with sales engagement or sales intelligence tooling.
  • Familiarity with actuarial, product development, or competitive intelligence workflows at P&C or L&H carriers.
  • Exposure to insurance regulatory and compliance environments, including multi-state rate and form filing processes.
  • CPCU, AINS, or other insurance-related certification or credential.
  • Experience working in an early-stage or venture-backed startup, with the ability to operate effectively in a lean, fast-moving environment.
  • Experience building a territory, vertical, or sales motion from an early stage rather than inheriting an established one.
