Job summary

Smith College in Northampton, MA, seeks an Accommodations Specialist to support the day-to-day administration and operations of disability-related accommodations for ARC students.

The role includes managing a designated caseload (including graduate social work students), maintaining confidential records, and assisting with data reporting and assessment, while triaging all incoming communications and supporting ARC staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and two years of related experience.
• Experience with disability services in higher education.
• Knowledge of FERPA, ADA/504 regulations.
• Understanding of accommodations and interactive process.
• Experience with Accommodate system.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ARC record and file systems across platforms (WorkDay, Maxient, S Drive, Google Drive, Accommodate).
• Coordinate implementation of note-taking accommodations including recruiting and onboarding note-takers.
• Manage documentation requests and office file systems.
• Create templates and flows within the online management system.
• Ensure FERPA and data storage compliance.
• Develop training materials for new user orientation.
• Organize records according to Smith protocols.
• Coordinate incoming communications and ensure timely routing.
