Job summary

Colorado State University’s Student Disability Center seeks a capable supervisor to lead Accommodation Specialists in delivering individualized support to students with disabilities. You will guide interactive assessments, review documentation, and ensure accommodations comply with ADA and Section 504 while promoting inclusive access.

In this role you will supervise 3-5 staff, collaborate across the Accessibility Center, and advocate for reducing barriers to access in all campus programs,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of direct experience with students with disabilities in education.
• Strong knowledge of Section 504 and ADA and amendments.
• Demonstrated computer application skills (MS Office, digital records systems, case management systems).
• Demonstrated effective written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 3-5 full-time Accommodation Specialists providing individualized support and growth opportunities.
• Serve as primary contact for specialized groups of students requesting accommodations and guide interactive processes.
• Conduct ongoing assessments using documentation, functional limitations, and narratives to determine accommodations.
• Apply professional judgment to ensure equal access across programs and services.
• Engage in fundamental alteration reviews and policy interpretation.
• Advocate for reducing barriers to access in campus programs, services, and activities.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement center and division-wide directives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
