Dayton Children's is seeking a Part-time Patient Access Representative for the Emergency Department at the Main Campus. The role involves patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, PHI handling, and payment collection while maintaining excellent patient relations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and prior customer service experience; healthcare experience is preferred. The shift is 11am to 11:30pm at the Main Campus.

• Schedule appointments and register patients.
• Transcribe orders and verify insurance information.
• Telephone coverage and data entry including PHI.
• Manage patient referrals and assist with payment collection.
• Support Dayton Children's Hospital cash flow and patient relations.

Job Details:

Patient Access Representatives provide customer-service coverage and assume the responsibility for successful financial outcomes of all patient services. Under the general supervision of the Patient Access Manager, this position performs imperative duties, which may include, but not limited to appointment scheduling, registration, transcribing orders, insurance verification, telephone coverage, data entry, filing protected health information (PHI), patient referrals, and payment collection, while maintaining patient relations, customer satisfaction, and Dayton Children’s Hospital financial solvency.
