Job summary

Georgetown University is seeking staff to support Resource Sharing in the Access Services unit. Responsibilities include searching, acquiring, and processing materials through ILL/CLS; pulling and shelving items; and supervising student employees during shifts at Lauinger and Blommer libraries.

The role reports to the Access Services Department Head and may require varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• BA/BS; 1 year related library experience preferred.
• Familiar with academic libraries serving students, faculty and staff.
• Excellent oral and written communication; strong public service orientation.
• Proficient with Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and Google Apps.

Responsibilities

• Search, acquire, and process materials via Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and Consortia Loan Service (CLS).
• Pull and shelve library materials requested through ILL/CLS.
• Manage activities of student employees during shifts at Lauinger and Blommer libraries.
• Support other units within Access Services as needed.
