Georgetown University is seeking staff to support Resource Sharing in the Access Services unit. Responsibilities include searching, acquiring, and processing materials through ILL/CLS; pulling and shelving items; and supervising student employees during shifts at Lauinger and Blommer libraries.
The role reports to the Access Services Department Head and may require varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, within a hybrid work model.

This position provides support in the Resource Sharing Unit of Access Services by searching/acquiring/processing materials through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and Consortia Loan Service (CLS); pulling and shelving library material requested through ILL and CLS; and managing the activities and work of student employees during regularly scheduled shifts at Service Desks in Lauinger and Blommer libraries. This position will support the other Units within Access Service. Assignments will vary to address cyclical, priority needs of the department. The work schedule is 11:30 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday. Schedules may change according to the needs of the department, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
The position reports directly to the Access Services Department Head, along with 7.0 FTE positions. This position plays a key role in the success of the department by providing support for Resource Sharing, Print Collections, and Reserve Units. The employee must be proficient in the procedures of these services, as well as having a thorough knowledge of the library’s policies and services, and the ability to effectively communicate them to the library users.

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $18.40 - $27.33. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
