Job summary

Lane Library, part of Stanford University School of Medicine, seeks a Resource Sharing Librarian to oversee interlibrary loan and document delivery, supervise staff, and coordinate remote storage and material transfers. The role supports access to print, electronic, and bibliographic resources for faculty, students, and researchers.

Based on Stanford campus with a potential hybrid arrangement (2–3 days on-site).

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Library Science or relevant discipline with 2+ years of experience in academic libraries or equivalent.
• Experience with interlibrary loan and document delivery workflows.
• Familiarity with library resource sharing systems and copyright considerations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administrative aspects of Resource Sharing Services and annual reporting.
• Lead and coordinate ILL/Document Delivery team operations.
• Manage remote storage transfers and shipments for library materials.
• Coordinate with staff to plan system upgrades and ensure efficient service delivery.
• Develop or improve services and policies for resource sharing and access.
