Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Under the general guidance and direction of the Head Librarian, the Access Services Manager supervises and manages the daily operations of Access Services including all circulation functions for all full-time and part-time classified staff members and student assistants at the Parham Campus Library. As a member of the Library Management Team, the position coordinates and produces statistical reports for library activities, coordinates technology lending at one location, and oversees and supports materials processing operations for the Reynolds Libraries.
This position provides a full range of paraprofessional library services that require a high level of decision-making and independence, utilizing general knowledge of library practices. The position also assists with the management of the supplies budget.
The Access Services Manager supports the library’s strategic priority to collaborate internally and externally to make equity-conscious decisions and develop data-informed strategic plans to maximize impact at the college, group, and individual levels. The position is committed to meeting students where they are without judgment and providing support that promotes equity and success.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
