Job summary
Wachter is seeking an Access Control Service Technician to install and service Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm Systems across retail locations nationwide. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, reliable, and able to travel extensively.
The role includes a mandatory one-week, in-person technician orientation in Lowell, Arkansas, with a company vehicle provided upon completion of orientation. We offer full-time employment with competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for certification
Qualifications
- Experience installing and servicing Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm Systems in commercial environments.
- Experience with Fire Alarm Systems is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and site maps.
- Experience with voice and data cabling is a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficiency with smartphones, computers, email, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
- Possession of basic low-voltage/telecom tools, PPE, and reliable transportation during training.
Responsibilities
- Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm Systems.
- Running low voltage and composite cables in commercial buildings, including conduit work and concrete drilling.
- Cutting in door strikes and maglocks as needed.
- Completing all wiring, connections, and equipment installations to meet customer satisfaction and contractual requirements.
- Collaborating with Installation Team Leads or Project Managers to manage schedules and equipment delivery.
- Conducting system tests and troubleshooting to ensure full functionality and compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
- Providing technical escalation support both on-site and remotely.
