Job summary

Wachter is seeking an Access Control Service Technician to install, service, and troubleshoot access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarm systems at commercial sites across the United States. The role requires travel, independence, and a customer-focused approach, with comprehensive training provided.

You'll work with blueprints, low-voltage cabling, and security devices, supported by a team that values reliability and career development.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and servicing Access Control, CCTV and Intrusion Alarm Systems.
• Experience with Fire Alarm Systems is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and site maps.
• Experience with voice and data cabling is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with smartphones, computers, email, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
• Possession of basic low-voltage/telecom tools and PPE; reliable transportation during training.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm Systems.
• Run low voltage cabling and conduit work in commercial spaces.
• Install door strikes and maglocks as needed.
• Complete wiring and equipment installations to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with Installation Team Leads to manage schedules and delivery.
• Test systems and troubleshoot for compliance and functionality.
• Provide technical escalation support on-site and remotely.
