Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking an Access Control Service Technician to install and service Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm Systems at commercial sites across the United States.

The role requires self-motivation, reliability, and the ability to work independently on long-term projects. This full-time position includes travel up to 75–100%, a company vehicle after orientation, training in Lowell, AR, and opportunities for certification and career advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and servicing Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm Systems in commercial environments
• Experience with Fire Alarm Systems is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints and site maps
• Experience with voice and data cabling is a plus
• Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficiency with smartphones, computers, email, spreadsheets, and internal systems
• Possession of basic low-voltage/telecom tools, PPE, and reliable transportation during training

Responsibilities

• Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm Systems
• Running low voltage and composite cables in commercial buildings, including conduit work and concrete drilling
• Cutting in door strikes and maglocks as needed
• Completing all wiring, connections, and equipment installations to meet customer satisfaction and contractual requirements
• Collaborating with Installation Team Leads or Project Managers to manage schedules and equipment delivery
• Conducting system tests and troubleshooting to ensure full functionality and compliance with local, state, and federal codes
• Providing technical escalation support both on-site and remotely
