Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is hiring an Access Control Service Technician to support installations and service at various retail locations across the United States.

The role requires self-motivation, reliability, and the ability to work independently while meeting customer expectations. You will install, troubleshoot, and service Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm Systems, run low-voltage runs, and coordinate with project leads.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and servicing Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm Systems in commercial environments.
• Experience with Fire Alarm Systems is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and site maps.
• Experience with voice and data cabling is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency with smartphones, computers, email, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
• Possession of basic low-voltage/telecom tools, PPE, and reliable transportation during training.

Responsibilities

• Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm Systems.
• Running low voltage and composite cables in commercial buildings, including conduit work and concrete drilling.
• Cutting in door strikes and maglocks as needed.
• Completing all wiring, connections, and equipment installations to meet customer satisfaction and contractual requirements.
• Collaborating with Installation Team Leads or Project Managers to manage schedules and equipment delivery.
• Conducting system tests and troubleshooting to ensure full functionality and compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
• Providing technical escalation support both on-site and remotely.
