Job summary
FlyLock Security Solutions is seeking an Access Control Technician / Locksmith to join our Cincinnati-area team. The role focuses on hands-on installation, service, and support for access control and video systems in commercial and residential settings.
You will lead projects and work closely with sales while delivering high-quality technical service. The ideal candidate has locksmithing knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to learn new techniques.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in security solutions, access control, door hardware, and related trades.
- Inspects, installs, and services commercial and residential access and video systems.
- Performs advanced troubleshooting and programming for access/video systems.
- Instructs customers on operation and features of systems.
- Responds to questions, recommends corrective services, and manages issues.
- Takes project ownership from walk-through to hand-off and paperwork.
Responsibilities
- Inspects, installs, and services basic and complex access and video systems.
- Performs programming, testing, cabling, and equipment verification per spec.
- Instructs customers on system operation and features.
- Lead onsite projects, coordinates with sales, and oversees technicians.
- Maintains records, site visit documentation, and project hand-offs.
- Responds to customer questions and supports change orders.
