Job summary

Allied Universal in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Security Officer full time to safeguard our clients across logistics & distribution sites. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, while delivering excellent customer service.

This role pays $18.75 per hour with a Tue-Sat 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM schedule. Minimum requirements include 18+ (21+ for armed roles), a high school diploma, background check, drug screening, and

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and control access.
• Assist with vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian access at gates and docks; communicate concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility and report unusual activity and conditions.
