Job summary

Allied Universal in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Security Officer full time to safeguard our clients across logistics & distribution sites. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, while delivering excellent customer service.

This role pays $18.75 per hour with a Tue-Sat 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM schedule. Minimum requirements include 18+ (21+ for armed roles), a high school diploma, background check, drug screening, and

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility and report unusual activity and conditions.

Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and driver logs, and control access to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with managing vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian access at gates, docks, and/or designated checkpoints; communicate access concerns to site contacts and supervisors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading areas to identify and report unusual activity, access-control concerns, and facility conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
