Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Verification Driver in Sulphur, LA to safeguard clients across chemical/petrochemical facilities. You will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a professional, secure environment while providing courteous service.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific access control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor badges or passes, and maintain entry/exit records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to restricted areas, inspect deliveries, and report irregular activity to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access control points and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
